The New Hope Choir Ministry is comprised of several Choirs and a Praise Team. This Ministry is led by a well-qualified and spirt filled Director, Sis Cynthia Wiley.
The Choir Ministries are compiled to help bring in the spirit and set the tone of the church services through their various songs. These Ministry services are held every Sunday of each month and each choir is responsible for their own service. The Mass choir, which is a combination of ALL choirs, will minister in song on every 1st Sunday. The Adult choir ministers on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and the Adult Praise Team ministers on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Sunday while the Young Adult Praise Team and Choir ministers on 2nd Sunday which is known as our Youth Sunday. We also have a Children’s choir, “The Little Voices Of Praise” which minsters on the 2nd Sunday as well and is led by our Children’s choir Director Sis LaRonda Lewis.
The choir members pray before and after each rehearsal and service. Our choirs have been dedicated and will continue in serving our Church, community outreach events, and participating in Coast County District Associations programs which involves traveling throughout Coast Counties to various churches for afternoon programs or special events. Annually our Ministry is involved in participating in Church Anniversaries, Appreciation programs, Scholarship celebrations, NAACP events etc. We also host an annual powerful event known as “A Musical Night out with the Family”. This is when every department comes forth and we share in song, inviting our family, friends and the community for this spectacular night of music and also providing some of the guest an opportunity to showcase their spiritual gifts with others.
As we continue to rehearse and Study God’s word, it is our prayer that the lyrics and melodies we sing will forever be an acceptable “Praise and Worship” to bring others closer to Christ.

The New Hope Youth and Young Adult Ministry has been designed, equipped and empowered by God to work with ages 25 and younger. The Ministry is broken up into 4 groups (Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Young Adults).
Our Desire/Vision through the leading of God’s Holy Spirit is to connect our youth and young adults to Jesus Christ and their purpose in God, while motivating them to be excited to live for Jesus Christ.
Some of the specialized events that we oversee include but are not limited to;

The New Hope Women’s Ministry is a wonderful fellowship where ALL women involved come to Encourage, Support, and Pray for one another in a very Spiritual and Peaceful way. We study the Word of God; Share our Faith, as well as our Life’s Experiences. We all may have a different journey however, as we study together, we learn that although we may live in different places or have different backgrounds, somehow our experiences are connected especially when it comes to following God’s Pathway and that’s Good News.

DEACONESS

The New Hope Deaconess Ministry meets the first Wednesday of each month and is led by Sis Cynthia Wiley. They are totally dedicated to prayerfully support our Pastor and the Deacons. They work diligently to meet the needs of the church and community when called upon. They are involved in various aspects of the Church to include some of the following assignments/activities.
The Deaconess provides service to God and to the Pastor as needed. However, some of the other Ministry’s standing duties include:
1. Preparation of the Lord’s Supper table, including maintaining the linens, inventory of and arranging for the food supplies and glasses and assuring that all things are in order for the Lord’s Supper.
2. Deaconess are on duty during Baptism to prepare the candidates and assist the Pastor and Deacons during the service.
3. Maintain the baptismal wardrobes of the Pastor and candidates
4. Assist the Deacons in worship during the devotion, tithe and offering and invitation periods.
5. To be available during worship to provide assistance as directed by the Pastor.
6. Minister to those of the membership as referred to include;
The Deaconess further engage, the first Saturday of the month alongside the Deacons for skill training and the Study of God’s word as it applies to our duties within the church body. The Deaconess are involved in several events and activities such as, our annual BBQ fundraiser which is held in late June and provides year after year financial blessing to our Church body. As participants of the Coast County Deaconess “Trip Around The World” fundraiser, the Deaconess see this as a wonderful time of fellowship, transforming into another country, and being able to see how we’re still being blessed as one Nation under God.
This Ministry is open to the wives of ministers, Deacons, or any other mature woman of the church that is willing to work in a capacity of spiritual leadership and service. The Ministry meets the first Wednesday of the month.
We look forward to the continued development of the Deaconess Ministry as we keep our focus as supporters, growing in his word and evolved as woman after Gods own heart.

Our Musicians are very devoted to their meaning and purpose of what, why and how God is using them and their ministry which is to be used to Bless others in a mighty way. Even as we have been in this Pandemic and with all the challenges they continue growing Stronger and Stronger while leading others closer and closer to our Lord and Savior. The Musicians have expressed and are in total agreement that their sole purpose is to Bless others through their music with the spiritual guidance and direction from the Lord.
The musicians believe that the music ministry within the church is used to bring the word and allow preparation for the message the pastor is trying to portray to the mass, to be an actual voice through music. It is also used to set the atmosphere into the service. The music needs to get into the hearts of the people, not just hearing the music or songs, but actually feeling it inside the hearts and souls of the congregation.
If you’re wondering how the Musician Ministry operates in our church to set the tone, is it entertainment or spiritual. Here are a few thoughts to ponder. Why does our church has the Musician Ministry? The Ministry will tell you it helps to bring the Word and allows preparation for the message that is being given by the Pastor. It also further sets the atmosphere that will enter into the hearts of the people. So, does the Ministry also help in accomplishing the Church values? Yes, most definitely, they are serving the church mission and doing a service as a servant to provide value to the church in one accord. Does the church Musician Ministry need to be improved? We are always working to improve and talk about how to improve and do our best for God. We never arrive and are continuing to grow in a “Kaizen” way which is “change for the better” or establishing “continuous growth” and not staying still. We have new members and we must adjust and adapt to people and being in tune with the spirit. When we move with the Spirit we let the flow come from God. It will bring Unity and the styles of music will also evolve.
With all these thoughts the Musician Ministry has constantly strived to better themselves and look inside the Ministry for was to improve while honoring God’s mission. Here are a few of the steps that continue to take when preparing and communing with the Lord. How does the ministry prepare to operate on a higher level? They are constantly looking for other members to become a part of the ministry in order to have the ministry flow and not have a single focus of failure. They operate as their own entity spiritually and prepare for everything that may come. They all play different instruments and have different aspects as to what God is expecting of their ministry but with obedience to the spirit each of their instruments become one sound harmoniously. The ministry is not for entertainment it’s a Ministry and is meant to let God use their talents to Bless others. With their preparation time they be ready for a particular song but God operates in the Spiritual Flow of the needs of the people and they must be ready to flow with that spirit in one accord. When they worship they do so to give God their ALL, the preparation is used to get into their spiritual worship so that God can use them to bring through that spiritual awareness to others. Keeping it pure will help keep the spirit flowing. So is the right person leading the ministry? If that person is the Holy Spirit the answer is Yes and that is what the Musician Ministry does, they allow the obedience of the Holy Spirit to control them in order for them to stay on one accord. In keeping with the open Spirit of communication this helps them to blend and have great collaboration of the minds.
The Pastor also play a very important role in ALL ministries especially the Musician Ministry. What can and how does the Pastor help the Ministry? Our Pastor provides great support to our Ministries; he is a great advocate of ALL Ministries. He is inclusive in all we do and is a great lover of music. He is very encouraging, trusting and he reminds the Ministries to continue to move with the Spirit. All Ministries must be in tune with God’s direction. Autonomy is very important to our Pastor as part of the growth of each Ministry this allows permission to grow.
As part of the Musician Ministry it is important to understand what encourages them and what they sense within the Ministry? They believe they are encouraged to get more into the word and allow themselves more personal time to intentionally and purposefully take time to get deeper in the word. They recognize there is a lot of hurt inside the church and they know that in some cases music can help heal. Music can take them to a place where there is healing needed to break the strongholds down and allow them to hear the sermons and feel and embrace the Spirit for themselves. The music provides opportunities to grown more spiritually and tell the message to those that are broken. Some may hear a scripture or verse; others may hear a sermon or a spoken word, while other may just hear a song or music to heal a broken soul. As Psalm 149:3 says “Let them praise his name in dance: let them sing praises unto him with the trimbrel and harp. Let them praise him with stringed instruments and organs, let’s praise him……..
Our Musician Mission statement is they are saved, humble, committed, Holy Spirit led worshippers, chosen to lift up and encourage others through inspirational anointed music. As a team they collectively strive to create an atmosphere that ushers people into the presence of God. It is their heartfelt desire through music to prepare the people’s hearts for worship and to open their hearts to receive the Word of God. Our Musicians truly feel the music in their soul and when they play they are having a beautiful conversation with God, what is God saying to you, and whose beat are you walking too? Now hear what our Musician has to say about how they feel in their Soul when playing and ministering?
Director Pam Beebe stated some are gifted, while some are anointed but she wants to be anointed to break yokes and make changes in the hearts and spirit of others in the external. She says if she cry’s when she plays on her piano or blows her flute, Jesus takes over and put his super on her natural he takes off any and ALL the bondage.
Saxphonist David Smith stated God gave me something so rewarding to use to Bless others, my music. You realize how personal it really is to know God picked ME to use, to Bless others. It’s having a conversation with the Lord and going to another place to flow even deeper when we have never played there before. God takes us there and provides the increase Always.
Edwin Echols Bass player stated what a blessing to be used to make a joyful sound. Joyful obsession, Prayful obsession. Music to me is talking to God and doing his work through music.
Kenthony Simpson the Drummer stated I sense that God has put this ministry together for his Glory. God has brought us together to worship and praise him so that through our worship someone will find comfort, inspiration, confidence and repentance. I am so grateful that I’m able to move my limbs to make beautiful noise that pleases our Father.
